The Saturday Academy in partnership with Living Learning present;

A practical workshop on Shakespeare
for A-Level English Students

"The Saturday Academy are outstanding practitioners: the workshop they led for our girls was excellent, clearly communicating how Shakespearean texts can be realised in performance.

Beautifully tailored to the brief, the workshops challenged and excited the students, enhancing their learning and understanding. The workshops provided the girls with tools that they will be able to use again and again, not only when approaching Shakespeare but also other texts."

Isabel Foley
St Paul’s Girls School

"The Saturday Academy workshop leaders inherently understood the needs of the pupils and how to make them engage with Shakespeare. I have never before seen my students so excited by Shakespeare’s language and world. Fun, engaging and insightful, I couldn’t recommend it highly enough."

Kelda Henderson
George Heriots, Edinburgh

"My students utilised many of their brilliantly practical exercises throughout rehearsals to find new ways into the text and the world of the play. Their rigorous approach to the script, and style of communicating this to the students, added real depth and insight to the performances of our young emerging actors."

Louie Ingham
Youth Theatre Director, Lancaster Dukes Youth Theatre
